How many hashtags can I add to monitoring?
Instagram limits each business profile to 30 unique hashtag searches in any rolling 7-day period.
Instagram counts each search, so even if you don't save the hashtags you found - they will be included in your weekly limit.
An example of the "Rolling 7-day period":
- Monday - you added 10 hashtags; 20 hashtags are still available to be added
- Tuesday - you added 10 hashtags, 20 total; 10 hashtags are still available to be added
- Wednesday: You delete all 10 of Monday's hashtags. Ten hashtags are now being monitored, but you still have only 10 hashtags available to be added.
- Thursday-Sunday - you don't add any hashtags.
- Next Monday, you will have 20 hashtags added again while your 10th is being monitored.
If your colleagues in your account will also connect your social media account but with their login, they will have another 30 hashtags despite your limits being over.
